Warrior 3 - 4 Grilled

Overcast weather free of rain made for a crowd turnout of 9249 at Hell chair staters today. Erdem Ege was the appointed referee with assistance provided by Christian Baetschmann and Yaakov Sha'ar. The match took place on neutral ground. Warrior tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. The following players took the field: Liefke - Kessel, Reviľák, Boschetto, Aurigemma - Grozlekov, Kaposvári, Somma, Chi Huat, 永坤 (Yongkun) - Gogliucci.

A 2-5-3 alignment was the formation of choice for Grilled. They fielded: Tian Han - 福泉 (Fuquan) , Filippone - Meyer, Shun An, 长春 (Changchun), Jing Wei, Ping Shun - bin Mohd Kassim, 勇航 (Yonghang) , Ying Lee.

Warrior clearly had decided to counter-attack when they could. 0 - 1 was the score with 7 minutes played, after 田. 勇航 (Yonghang) cut through the central defence and chipped home a goal for Grilled. Grilled increased the lead to 0 - 2 as W. Ping Shun scored from the penalty spot, putting the ball in near the top left corner. Confident in their lead, Grilled's players relaxed and focused more on defending the lead than increasing it. After 21 minutes Warrior's X. Chi Huat limped slightly after a late challenge, but he was able to continue. The home crowd cheered when, after 37 minutes, W. Shun An's charge up the middle resulted in the keeper making one of his best saves of the day. 38 minutes into the game, I. Gogliucci finished off a Warrior left wing counterattack, making the score 1 - 2. S. Chu Chun was called on to replace Warrior's S. Somma after 41 minutes following a nasty collision. The teams went for the halftime break at 1 - 2. Possession in the forty-five minutes was dominated by Grilled, with 59 percent of the ball.

With 51 minutes played, the Warrior coach decided a substitution may help turn the game around. H Pasupuleti came on, J. Reviľák had to leave the fray. After 57 minutes, Warrior used a short break in the game to take new instructions from their coach. The crowd chanted their encouragement as Warrior's I. Gogliucci came in from the right after 58 minutes and put the ball in the net to level the score at 2 - 2. A mistake by the home side's central defence after 60 minutes allowed C. Meyer to score for Grilled. The scoreboard now read 2 - 3. Warrior played a good counterattacking move down the left 64 minutes into the match, with C. Boschetto finishing well for 3 - 3. As the 85 minute mark approached, the Grilled coach decided it was time for a substitution. C. Meyer reluctantly made way for L. Aik Jia on the pitch. Grilled had most of the ball, with 59 percent of possession.

With the scores being level after 90 minutes, the match went into extra time. Some quick footwork on the left side of the field 94 minutes into the match left Grilled's C. Ying Lee completely free to score. 3 - 4 for the visitors. B. Kaposvári of Warrior was booked for kicking the ball away after the whistle. The bench was restless, and with 98 minutes passed Warrior's coach gave C. Nacci the opportunity the player had been hoping for. I. Gogliucci reluctantly left the field. After 107 minutes, Grilled's W. Tian Han fell awkwardly, but was determined to stay in the match. That's the spirit! The Grilled players could smell victory in the air. Z. Jing Wei wasn't in a hurry to leave the field as he was substituted for N. Vandeneynde after 119 minutes. W. Shun An wanted to play on, but the Grilled coach had other ideas, and he was replaced 119 minutes into the game by K. Rykowski. Most important Warrior player was E. Kessel. H Pasupuleti turned in a dismal performance, however. Grilled's top performer was clearly M. bin Mohd Kassim. K. Rykowski was a disappointment, however. The match ends 3 - 4.
