Titanium Showtime
While the loss was well overshadowed by Team Singapore's 2-1 win over Herron to wrest the S-League Championship, the reality of a very tricky qualification match still loomed large for Grilled.
"We'll not kid ourselves, it'll not be a walk in the park. Titus Titanium IV has withstood the rigours of the toughest Division Two league, and have a season's worth of S-League experience. On our side however we have been saving ourselves in the last two matches, and have no injury or suspension worries, and finally home ground advantage." Alcántara calculated.
Early front-runners Winning Eleven plummetted to fifth spot, a sign of just how competitive the league is. They face GeostarZ United FC, whom Grilled defeated in last season's qualifiers.
"Titus are one of the few top sides in Singapore that Grilled have not faced,"
Ma Dai-Lin said. "Their national teamers Tang Chien-Hui and Jiu Thuy are something, but our own Stanton and Kek-Tjiang are their equals. It's very close all over, but our own support should see us through."
