The Train's Starting
Dewilde, who bagged Grilled's winning goal, was just happy that Grilled have turned the corner. "Seriously we could have won all our matches so far, but there was a little something that changed them into draws or even defeats. I was not sure if that something was under our influence, as everyone has been doing great. I wasn't thinking when I got the pass, if I had thought I would have passed it on. I knew we weren't going to have much more time and just kicked it to the corner."
The win lifted Grilled out of the relegation zone and above Anfield Reds and FC RaZer Infernus, who drew 2-2 in a flaming derby that saw RaZer player Zou Tsu-Yee and Mikael Häggbrant out on long-term injuries, and Anfield defender Jan Tellén sent off in the first half.
The mammoth match between runaway leaders Winning Eleven and champions Herron also finished two-all, as Herron could not afford to lose. A home win would have seen Winning Eleven seven points clear with just five games played, and as it was Winning Eleven relied on a late leveller by Hans Hjorting to cross out the Herron lead.
The remaining match saw HaTT crush hapless Bluedragon 6-1, lengthening Bluedragon's misery in the top flight. Grilled will give no quarter next Sunday, when they visit the Great Bluedragon Stadium to resume their Division Two rivalry. "It's the place to be right now," Hjortlind quipped. "I see one win following another."
