Koh Bails

Chicken Wings defender Koh Chi Huat left for Dutch seventh division side FC Bailey.04 on a free transfer today, as part of a crop of eight youngsters that Emile Slot's new project has just recruited.

The 17 year-old had to toil to get there, as he recounted being rejected by not one, but two academies: leaguemates Ropelearner FC and former S-League rivals Pearl Divers had both passed on Koh, but Wings scout Lim Hock Puay saw the tenacity behind his admittedly below-par instincts.

"It was clear that he wasn't a natural, but Koh was always willing to listen to instructions, and even better at following them." assistant coach Abdul bin Jantan said. "Once he switched to the backline, these qualities put him in very good stead."

The Clementi kid thanked his former mentors, and promised to maintain his attitude at Bailey. "It's the chance of a lifetime!"
